A Busy Week for the Choir

Last week was very busy for the choir, now that we are approaching Christmas we have been taking part in several events during the week.

On Wednesday we sang at Royal Blackburn Hospital to raise money for the hospital charity ELHT&Me. Conducted by Geoff Pollard one of our choir members as our musical director was at work. It was an enjoyable event, and people passing by joined in with some of the songs and donated to the hospital charity.

On Saturday we opened the Spring Vale Christmas Fayre (where we rehearse) by singing some Christmas songs, then the choir staffed 2 stalls, cakes and bric-a-brac which raised a good sum of money for the church funds.

On Sunday we sang our Christmas programme at Blackburn Hospice, this time conducted by our new musical director, Emily Kennedy and were treated to very welcome refreshments during the break in the programme.
