Singing to Support Ryan and Derian House Hospice

Mike received surprise telephone call from Radio 1 a week ago asking us to sing to support Ryan Walmsley who has run every day throughout 2018 to raise money for Derian House Hospice. We were very happy to help and all arrived at Witton Park, Blackburn, by 8.15 on this very cold but dry morning.

More than 30 choir members were able to be there for what was to be a surprise for Ryan with Rado 1, his family, the Mayor of Blackburn, representatives from Derian House, a group of cheer leaders and ourselves, ready to celebrate his success and effort throughout the year.

We sang 3 Christmas songs which were broadcast on live radio, which was a great honour for us and we hope helped to make Ryan's day a memorable one.

Prior to writing this blog, I believe he has now raised in excess of £3000. Well done Ryan - what a wonderful young man.
