Carols in the Wood

The Friends of Sunnyhust Wood again invited us to sing at their annual Carols in the Wood event on 9th December, which we were more than pleased to do.

It was a chilly day, but the sun was shining, unlike last year, when it had snowed earlier. A large number of choir members were there to sing all the popular carols. Avondale Junior School choir were also there, they sang 4 Chrismas songs at the beginning of the afternoon, then joined in with the singing of all the other carols afterwards.

The event raised in excesss of £500 for Friends of Sunnyhurst Wood which goes towards all the work they do to keep the local beauty spot in good order.

With this post are a few photos which show the choir and the Avondale Junior School children who took part.
