Celebrating Older Peoples Week

This last week has been Older Peoples Week with various events going on through Darwen and Blackburn.

We were invited to sing at an Afternoon Tea Dance at the Masonic Hall which had been arranged by the Re:fresh team led by Helen Hindley. The Hall was packed, there was a fantastic atmosphere and a delicious buffet for all attending.

Also on the bill were a duo - Vintage Pearls. We closed the event by singing a small selection of songs, the audience joined in, and we were even asked to do an encore, so we sang one of our favourites, O Bla Di, O Bla Da.

Mike caught up with people he hadn't seen for a while and even managed to get in a plug for our Christmas Concert on 15th December. That man never misses an opportunity - only joking Mike - you do a fantastic job.

What a great afternoon.
