Wonderful!! - Carols in the Wood

About 40 choir members braved the cold and icy footpaths to join Blackburn and Darwen Band singing Carols in the Wood in Sunnyhurst Wood this afternoon. We had to wait until mid morning to find out whether the event would take place due to the weather, then a quick email notified everyone and we were all there on time.

A large crowd were there to watch and also enjoyed singing along with the band and the choir. There was lots of snow around so people climbed the hill opposite the band stand to get a bird;s eye view. After the music finished we were able to have tea, coffee. mulled wine and mince pies. Very welcome.

Thank you to all our members for being there and making the day such a great success.
