Superb Trip to Jersey

14 of us went to Jersey last Saturday and returned yesterday after spending the entire holiday in sunshine. We arrived in Jersey last Saturday to torrential rain but by the time we arrived at the hotel it was lovely sunshine, and it stayed that way for the entire holiday.

Saturday afternoon we all went for a walk along the promenade of St Aubin, and eventually walking along the sands and rocks around the bay.

Sunday we walked from St Aubin to Corbiere Lighthouse, a stunning walk which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. We took lunch at a café close by and continued for another few miles north and eventually caught the bus back to our hotel. The bus service on Jersey is superb, the buses are frequent and every trip is £2 only to every part of the island.

Monday we did an adventure walk from Devil's Hole to La Greve de Lecq which was a cliff top walk...the views were absolutely stunning as was the weather also.

When we eventually arrived in La Greve de Lecq we had lunch in a lovely café by the sea. We then rested on the sand for a while, some people paddled... and then we all took the bus back to St Aubin (we were going to get off at St Brelade but the bus didn't stop...think MC missed the stop !!) By the time we arrived back at the hotel I think everyone was really tired and needed a well earned rest.

Tuesday was a DIY day...some went for retail therapy whilst others visited St Brelade and visited the grave of Jack Walker....others visited Elizabeth Castle at St Helier, whilst others took advantage of the bus day ticket and visited most of the island.

Wednesday arrived and we had to be ready for collection at the hotel for transfer to the airport at 12.30 so most of us just chilled and took leisurely strolls...others visited the beautiful St. Matthews Glass Church at Millbrook.

The flight home was great and we eventually arrived home late afternoon on Wednesday. The entire holiday was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone and plans are in place for next years venues.
